Joe-1264054 True that loopholes were closed by Reagan, but the highest tax rate in particular was raised by Clinton -- And that is what brought in more revenue (because tax cuts don't pay for themselves!). Interesting too how the economy was so much better with higher taxes during the 1990s.

What? People think because MSNBC reports that the leaders are listening to President Obama that it must be so. Please... these leaders could care less what he tells them. They are all on a weekend joy ride dining & drinking on the US tax dollars for the weekend.

SeekingSanityBen, you need to do your homework. The credit rating bureau said the US downgrade was a direct result of the GOP being unwilling to work with the President. So, how do you make that seem like the R's didn't cause the downgrade?

If their gambling wouldn't have gone south and they made $2 billion this wouldn't be a story. In 2008 Merrill lost 16 Billion. And our federal government lost over $55 billion in Stimulas Money.

Justice Department is too busy trying to evade investigations on Fast & Furious in addition to going after the State of Arizona for doing the Job that the Feds should be doing. Stealing money for Citizens 401K plans isn't important enough for the DC Bureaucrats.
